Squier Paranormal Toronado Wiring Kit Installation Guide

The Squier Paranormal Toronado is a fantastic guitar from the lineup because it is so distinguished the rest of Fender's guitars - 24.75" Scale, 2x Humbuckers, 2x Volume / 2 Tone Controls, etc.

The installation of this kit is pretty simple and basically just a bolt on neck Les Paul.  The "Hot" leads of your of your pickups are soldered to the input lugs of the respective volume pot.  The toggle leads are soldered to the middle / wiper lug of the respective volume pot along with one end of the tone capacitor.  In the end, your final result should - depending on your pickup leads - look something like this.

Here is a diagram that may help you visualize the harness in a 2D format.  A few things to keep in mind while making your pickup and toggle connections.

  • Each of the potentiometer casings is a ground point.
  • Be sure to isolate anything connected to ground from anything "carrying" guitar signal - be especially mindful of vintage style braided 2-conductor leads.  Heat Shrink is your friend.

Of course, if you're having trouble understanding your pickup connections or your kit is not functioning how you think it should after installation, please do not hesitate to reach out via email - Huddy@HuddysGuitarShop.com.  I try reply quickly.  The more information I have the better.
