This 2003 Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker is an extremely unique guitar that I personally really enjoy playing. It's been gigged, used, and loved without apology.
It's equipped with the original P-90 that is absolutely killer in this guitar - plenty of bite and attack. A common addition is the Les Paul Jr. pickguard really adds to the aesthetics and the fun bare bones style of this guitar. The neck has been sanded back for comfort and shows the wood's original color.
The action is low and comfortable. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions properly. This model comes with a factory Tune-O-Matic which allows for proper intonation regardless of string gauge - many of the Juniors only have a wrap-around stopbar rendered frets 12 and up all but useless.
