Here's a well worn but fantastic feeling 2012 Gibson USA Les Paul Special. This model has two notable items that separate it from the current production models.
- Bound Neck - Not available on the current LP Special Tributes
- Full Tune-0-Matic Bridge and Stop Bar - Not available on current LP Specials
Two great features that had to the fit and finish of this guitar.
This one weighs in a 5.4 lbs, the neck is straight, and the truss rod functions properly. Very minimal fret wear on just the first few frets. Comes complete with all the original plastics including the toggle switch poker chip (not pictured).
There is plenty of wear around the body and what I believe to be a spot on the top where someone started to strip the lacquer or was testing to prepare but never got started. The plastics are in good shape but do show some wear as well.
This husk would be a great base for your next project whether you decide to refinish or live it as is.
