Here's an absolute killer of a player - a Korean made 1999 Epiphone Les Paul Custom that has been completely overhauled with all new electronics and full and complete setup. The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished. The fret ends feel fantastic. The action is low and comfortable. The nut has been properly filed. The intonation is spot on. The truss rod functions properly and the neck is straight.
Electronic upgrades are as follows:
- Stew-Mac Golden Age Parsons Street Humbuckers - A5 Neck / A2 Bridge
- CTS 550 kΩ Custom Taper Potentiometers
- MOD Oil-Filled Capacitors - .022 µF
- Switchcraft Short Frame Toggle w/ Vintage Style Braided Leads
- PureTone Output Jack
All aspects of the electronics were installed with extreme care and concern and of course function properly without any static or scratching.
The guitar is in great condition overall. The body has minor light surface scratches / pick wear all over - any 20+ year old black guitar that has been regularly played will have this type of wear. The back of the neck has been sanded down. It feels great and is fast and comfortable despite the subjective aesthetic concerns. All hardware shows wear and patina consistent the age.
Comes complete with hard case and strap-locks.
